Some of us might not even pay attention to movie mistakes, but others are constantly picking them out. Since we're two days into the new year, let's have a look at the movies with the most mistakes recorded for 2011.

The list comes courtesy of MovieMistakes.com, a website that caters especially for those of you who can't overlook a flaw or error in a film, as its name clearly suggests.

The chart was comprised with users' help, which means results are skewed, in that they're influenced by how popular a certain film was: the more people saw it, the more mistakes they picked out.

This explains why Michael Bay's Transformers: Dark of the Moon,” one of the biggest releases of 2011, landed at number one, with no less than 56 mistakes, ranging from factual errors to continuity issues.

Granted, Bay is not the type of director that pays too close attention to details since he's basically hoping that you'll not notice all of them because you're being distracted by explosions, but the number of mistakes in the third “Transformers” is quite impressive, you have to admit it.

Runner up is another huge box office hit, Disney's Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides starring Johnny Depp and Penelope Cruz, which has 52 mistakes.

Movie buffs have already considered the issue, coming up with the conclusion that with movies of such an impressive scope as these two, it's no wonder some things are overlooked during production, including factual errors that could have been avoided with a little more proper research.

X-Men: First Class was again one of the big ticket sellers of 2011, so it too is here on the list, ranking in at number 3 with 27 mistakes.

“Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows: Part 2” and “Super 8” round up the top five, with 18 and 17 mistakes respectively.

The rest of the films in the top 10 of movies with most movie mistakes are as follows: “Paul” (14), Captain America: The First Avenger (14), “Scream 4” (11), “The Hangover Part 2” (11) and Bad Teacher (11).

The list on the aforementioned movie-oriented e-zine is longer than this, including no less than 81 entries in total.

On the bottom positions are films like Drive,” “Unforgettable” and “Person of Interest,” all of which have just 1 mistake each. These films might have pleased critics, but audiences didn't exactly rush to see them in theaters.
