If you ever wanted to travel to a more or less remote corner of the world and see a tourist attraction you only heard or read about before, you can now choose from the top 10 most germiest destinations ever.

Should you have a strong stomach and the knack to do something out of the ordinary, TripAdvisor, the biggest travel website in the world, has just released a top of the 10 nastiest tourist attractions, the Daily Mail notes.

Proudly at number one sits The Blarney Stone from Ireland, which students and aspiring politicians kiss in the hope they will receive the so-called “gift of the gab.”

The Seattle Gum Wall comes in second, becoming an official tourist attraction in 1999, when authorities realized trying to keep it clean was a futile attempt.

It all started as theatergoers waiting to enter the Unexpected Productions’ improv Seattle Theatresports began sticking coins and other small objects with gum on the wall.

After repeated attempts to keep the wall clean, authorities finally gave in: the Seattle Gum Wall now holds millions of pieces of gum shaped as love and peace messages or even small art pieces.

Oscar Wilde’s tomb in France is third most dirty tourist attraction because it is covered in lipstick from “artistic teenagers,” as the Mail calls them, who come to kiss it.

St Mark’s Place in Venice is up next, “infested by a vast flock of filthy pigeons hoping for a free meal,” say the Mail.

Grauman’s Chinese Theater in the USA came in fifth in the top because it has the handprints of countless celebrities immortalized in stone, which fans, understandably, want to touch.

The Karni Mata Rat Temple in India (whose name says it all) came in sixth, while the Friendly Monkey Valley in Korea is seventh and the Glastonbury Festival in England ranked eighth.

“Any children’s ball pool” made the cut at number 8, with the Mail saying, “a bit of a cheat this, but those colorful balls harbor all manner of grime.”

At number 10 are CBGB’s toilets in the US, with the same publication saying, “the original Punk Rock haunt flies the flag for filthy rock club loos the world over.”
