A long time ago, when I first heard of the term hacker, it was described as an individual with highly advanced programming skills who was capable of accessing restricted computer systems. These days, automated tools have become so easy to use that almost anyone can become a hacker.

Most hackers don’t even have to know a lot about SQL databases, vulnerabilities or other technical stuff. All they need to know is how to follow a simple set of instructions and they could access the information stored on a website in no time.

Havij is a perfect tool for those who want to breach websites without knowing too much about computer programming.

Although Havij is a perfectly legitimate application designed for penetration testers, the fact that it’s so powerful makes it a highly tempting tool for cybercriminals.

In a video he made about Havij, security researcher Troy Hunt demonstrated that, with a little assistance, even his 3-year-old could hack into a website and obtain sensitive information.
