14 DAY TRIAL // tooble, a freeware app designed to let you browse, search, and download YouTube videos directly to your iPod, Mac or Apple TV, has just been updated to version 0108. The new release fixes issues with compatibility on Tiger (the D01 error).
tooble automatically converts YouTube videos to MP4 format. You simply connect your iPhone or iPod to your Mac, sync with iTunes and that's it! Unlike similar utilities, tooble is also a standalone YouTube browser. Quite frankly, it's the only one available for Mac OS X at the moment.
tooble is designed so that you don't have to follow complicated steps to get that favorite YouTube clip. The software enables one-click download, and you don't necessarily have to stop at just one video. By all means, search them all, check them all out, and when you've finally decided and you've got everything you need on the launch pad, just hit Download.
tooble also supports queuing, so you can check out as many videos as you like, while the program will take care of each and every one of them simultaneously.
NOTE: in order to use tooble, you will need to download additional software - Periam. Perian aims to provide a single package for all your playback needs. It is a collection of QuickTime components incorporating several libraries.
tooble is a very popular Mac app, developer David Cook claims. The app hit 100,000 downloads in just six days after its release. Not too shabby: "Only sixty days after tooble's debut, we've hit our hundred thousandth download!," the tooble developer team said. "As you may guess, this exceeds anything any of us expected, but we're proud to announce tooble's success and we'd like to thank all of the users who supported us, gave tooble a try, or came out to see us at MacWorld; you guys are great and we're going to make some great software for you."
