I know what you're thinking: "Oh, good, a new game. OK, I want to know what platform it's on, then what type of game it is and when it launches. Oh and how much it costs." Right? Probably, but the thing is the game has been in development forever and has been surrounded by all kinds of rumors and negative speculation. You're probably confused so I'll try to be more specific.
It is the first installment of a planned trilogy (yeah, and they can't even launch the first one properly), it is based around the future of technology and its effects on mankind, while greatly influenced
by Norse mythology. It was originally in development for the PlayStation as a 5-disc action-
RPG. It was shown at E3 1999. Shortly before its completion, Nintendo announced an exclusive partnership with Silicon
Knights, and the game was moved to the
Nintendo GameCube in 2000. Not long after, those plans were canceled too. You can see now why I started out this article the way that I did.
Anyway, in May 2005, Silicon Knights announced their teaming up with Microsoft to develop a trilogy revolving around the Too Human universe exclusively for the 360. The game is being developed ever since, with Epic's Unreal Engine 3. That got your attention a little, didn't it?
Now, in a recent interview with IGN, MGS's Shane Kim made a statement that let people believe the game was still incomplete and that it will ship sometime in 2008. Silicon Knights CEO Dennis Dyack denied that statement and confirmed that Too Human still stands as a trilogy: "In time these comments will be bearers of fruit. Unfortunately for many here, they are going to be very bitter." OK, not taking any sides here, but let's just see the game already, what do you say?
