Activision announced today that the upcoming game for the Nintendo DS Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam will include artwork created by members of the Tony Hawk's American SK8Land online community.

More than 66,000 users have sent pieces of logo and skateboard deck artwork through the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection, and some of those will
feature in the new skating game. The winning artwork will feature as design options along the images created by the games' developer Vicarous Visions.

According to Vicarous Visions' executive producer, David Nathanielsz, his company decided to focus more on artwork when developing Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam. HE also added that he is impressed with the amount of entries submitted by members of the Tony Hawk's American SK8Land online community.

Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam is set to be released on November 19 in America and December 8 in Europe. The supported platforms will be Nintendo DS and Game Bot Advanced. Activision has not announced yet if a version for the upcoming PS3 will be launched. Also, rumors about a Wii launch of the title appeared but have not been confirmed yet.

Good news for players who want to skate each other out as Tony Hawk's Downhill Jam will feature a multiplayer mode up to 4 players using the Nintendo Wi-Fi Connection.
