14 DAY TRIAL // Tony Danza is finally a single man. The actor, who split with his wife Tracy in 2006, is officially a divorced man now, it has emerged.
TMZ confirms that a judge has made the split of the two official just now, after more or less 2 years in court.
“Tony Danza and his estranged wife can finally go on with their lives... because TMZ has learned, the long-separated couple is officially divorced,” the celebrity publication confirms.
“Danza filed for divorce from Tracy Danza in 2011 after 24 years of marriage, citing ‘irreconcilable differences.’ In the divorce docs, Danza claimed the couple had been separated since 2006,” adds the same media outlet.
The two have two daughters together and, while the divorce might have dragged on for more than they might have wanted, it was not a messy affair, as it usually happens with other celebrities, particularly when there’s a lot of money involved.
Speaking of nasty divorces, the case that’s getting headlines almost on a daily basis now is that of Kim Kardashian and her soon to be ex-husband of just 72 days Kris Humphries.
She wants a divorce but he’s asking for an annulment on the basis of fraud, saying she tricked him into marrying her. By getting an annulment, Humphries would void the prenup he signed before he got married, which means he’d get half of the money Kim made during their short-lived union.
Seeing how Kim is the highest paid star of the moment, that amounts to a pretty penny.
Just the other day, Kim stated in court documents that she believed the stress of the divorce was putting her unborn baby (she’s now pregnant with Kanye West) at risk.
Compared to these two, Tony and Tracy Danza were incredibly civil to each other during the divorce proceedings.
