Neil Patrick Harris is always a blast as host of the Tony Awards, and this year’s edition was no exception. He opened the show with a spectacular, “bigger” than ever routine, which you can also see in full above.

Days before the Tonys, when asked what fans should expect from the festivities, Neil would only say that they should look forward for something “bigger.”

Bigger it certainly was: there was live singing, there were acrobatics, there was glamor and there was a lot of energy, all of them making an opening number that earned a standing ovation from the audience.

Harris was joined on stage by the casts of many of the shows nominated, including “Cinderella,” “Bring It On,” “Matilda,” “A Christmas Story” and “Pippin,” but also by former boxing champ Mike Tyson.

Just look at his face: he seems so thrilled to be there he’s almost like a kid gloating over a new secret toy.

All in all, it was an incredible number. Enjoy!
