Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix have just confirmed that their upcoming Tomb Raider reboot has gone gold and is on track for release on March 5.

The Tomb Raider franchise delivered some pretty great games over the years, but in recent times Lara Croft's various adventures didn't exactly impress that many people.

As such, back in 2010, Crystal Dynamics and Square Enix revealed that they're rebooting the whole series with a younger version of Lara Croft that needs to survive after being shipwrecked on a dangerous island filled with all sorts of intriguing locations, including ancient tombs.

Now, after many years of development, Crystal Dynamics' studio head, Darrell Gallagher, has confirmed on the game's Facebook page that Tomb Raider has gone gold and will now enter manufacturing.

As such, the game is ready to be released on March 5 for the PC, PS3, and Xbox 360.
