As announced in the official press release which confirmed the new game from the Tomb Raider series and presented the first images with the new Lara Croft, Eidos launched yesterday a new version of the official site.
Internet surfers can admire 8 screenshots with Lara Croft picturing her in different situations and clothes, and the main attraction is a
3D image having 17 MB which allows the user to admire the hero from any position.
Those who are patient to download the 17 MB file will find out that Lara Croft's movements are much more natural than in the previous games. Eidos will probably give more details at E3 2005.
Besides these updates, Eidos didn't make additional comments to what was already known from the press release. The release of the complete web site is estimated for this year's summer and visitors are invited to register for access at the VIP section of the site.
On the other hand, Eidos's situation is still uncertain. After Elevation was thought to be the sure buyer of Eidos, discussions with SCi Entertainment are stalling the decision. Arguments and counterarguments towards accepting the SCi offer are carefully examined by Eidos's shareholders.
