Square Enix has released an official statement concerning its financial results in the last financial year, which ended on March 31, 2013.

The company confirmed that Tomb Raider, Hitman: Absolution, and Sleeping Dogs had broken even and might receive sequels.

Square Enix surprised quite a lot of gamers when it revealed earlier this year that, despite very strong sales in the millions of units, Tomb Raider, Hitman: Absolution, and Sleeping Dogs had disappointed in terms of sales.

Now, the company has released another statement on its website, confirming that the three aforementioned games broke even, managing to earn back the money invested in their development and marketing.

While the company highlights that the games didn't "sufficiently contribute to profit," it seems that the goals of reinvigorating existing franchises and creating new ones were achieved.

Sequels weren't explicitly confirmed, but it's quite likely that new installments are going to be made in the franchises.
