Xbox Live finally hosts the downloadable version of Tomb Raider: Anniversary, with a total of 2 episodes. Each has around 1.5 GB in size and costs 1200 points (GBP 10.20 / EUR 13.96). You also need a copy of Tomb Raider: Legend in order to be allowed to download the game.

TR: Anniversary is in fact a remake of the original Lara Croft game released back in 1996 which sold more than 7 million copies worldwide. The game has been released to video game shops last month, too. Moreover, additional downloadable content like picture and theme packs will become available for purchase in the Marketplace.

Both the story and the features are made in such a way as to celebrate ten years since Tomb Raider and Lara Croft appeared on the market and to follow the adventures Lara had back then. So the story presents her after being hired to retrieve the mythical Scion.

All the original environments from the first installment of Tomb Raider are included, but the graphic engine is updated, offering the player a new feeling when playing this. The game is non-linear, offering more ways to explore the game worlds from Peru to Egypt, as well as strange, undiscovered lands. The Artificial Intelligence has been tweaked, too, meaning that all enemies will have a more varied behavior, challenging the player more than ever before. Speaking of enemies, they come in various shapes and sizes, too, from wolves, bears and crocodiles to supernatural creatures or the almighty T-Rex.

Of course, if you fell in love with the first Lara Croft, or at least you still remember her beauty, now it's time to watch more pixels and a closer to reality Lara who looks incredibly hot. Maybe that is one of the reasons the Tomb Raider franchise sold over 32 million copies all over the world.
