Although at the beginning of the road, Tomahawk has made quite an impression as it plays not only tracks stored locally, but it also finds music available from online streaming services like YouTube or SoundCloud.

Today it made the jump to build 0.4, which features a new sidebar layout designed for better organizing the content available and plenty of performance optimizations and bug fixes.

The current release adds visual notification for database indexing job, “jump-to-current-track” support for search results page and filename suggestion when exporting a playlist. Also new is support for disc number, support for parsing Grooveshark and Tinysong tracks and playlists and artist and album results to global searches.

There are plenty of fixes, also, ranging from simple problems such as icons not appearing in resolvers list to more complicated ones, such as startup crash on Mac systems.
