TomKat Take Little Kitten for a Walk

The time is near, my dears: Tom Cruise will finally walk down the aisle and then marry Katie Holmes, after a very, very long engagement. The happy event will take place this weekend in Rome, Italy and many of the VIPs who were lucky enough to get invited have already arrived.

I say 'lucky' because Oprah Winfrey was not one of them: she did not receive an invite for the 'wedding of the year' (isn't this a term too loosely used?), despite being a 'close' friend of the couple. She will get them a present, though, because she is like that, with a heart of gold.

Anyway, amidst all the wedding preparations, Tom and Katie, and surprisingly enough Suri, went out for a dinner date the other night. They say the ceremony is going to last the entire weekend and it will involve lots of traditionally Scientologist elements (like Tom giving Katie a cat as a symbol of his commitment), so this is probably one of the last times that the three get to spend some quality time together before the madness begins.

As I was saying, Suri was also one of the parties that went to dinner to Rome's Nino Ristorante and, by far, she soon became the attraction of the evening. As the paparazzi gathered to snap the baby whose existence they even got to doubt at one point, the six-month-old child smiled and sort of waived to the cameras.

In another order of ideas, Suri's parents are more than busy these days, receiving all their star friends. Until now, Jennifer Lopez and Marc Anthony, Jada Pinkett Smith and Brooke Shields have already arrived for the reception. For more details on the TomKat wedding, stay tuned here.
