Actor Tom Sizemore has been in trouble with the law so many times that trying to sum them up would probably be futile at this point. However, the latest allegations brought against him still managed to make the headlines, and it was so solely because, if true, they would come to prove that the actor had sunk to new lows to make a buck.

Apparently, Tom Sizemore and a group of cell-phone thieves (whose leader he was) hit a Verizon Wireless store in Los Angeles last week, and left with plenty of merchandise that they presumably sold later. According to TMZ, which broke the story, the bad news for Sizemore is that the entire heist was caught on tape and the actor’s face could clearly be seen on the security recording, it is being said. What’s even worse is that Sizemore was just coming off probation.

“The LAPD confirms Tom – who spent time behind bars in ‘07 for a probation violation – is being investigated for grand theft after he allegedly stole multiple cell phones, a pen and a highlighter from a Verizon Wireless store in L.A. last week.” TMZ reveals. “Sources tell us Verizon’s security cameras clearly see a man who looks a helluva lot like Tom, along with another man, stealing a handful of phones – including one belonging to an employee. The man believed to be Tom was also busted reaching over the counter to pocket a pen and a highlighter.” the story further reads.

The aforementioned publication contacted Sizemore’s publicist for a comment regarding the allegations, but all it got was that Tom “is innocent until proven guilty,” which, in itself, could be seen as a sign of non-denial. Several US media outlets and celebrity bloggers are already speculating that Sizemore might try to play his luck out in court by denying it was him who broke into the store and was caught on tape, and just hope for the best.

As noted above, Sizemore was recently released from jail. He had just completed parole on a drug-related charge stemming from a previous arrest. A full statement from his publicist should drop anytime soon, so stay tuned here for more details on this.
