Tom Hanks is awesome, we’ve already established that. Every once in a while though, even someone as awesome as he is, is bound to mess up one way or the other, which is precisely what happened on Good Morning America the other day.
Hanks was on the show to promote his upcoming movie, “Cloud Atlas,” and, among other things, he also tried to do the accent he does for one of the roles in it.
Though he cautioned Elizabeth Vargas that “it’s mostly swear words,” he promised to keep it clean. He failed, as the video above will show.
“We are so sorry, Good Morning America,” Vargas immediately said, as Hanks covered his mouth in shock, as if the word hadn’t already slipped out.
“Man, oh man, I'm sorry. I have never done that before. I want to apologize to the kids in America watching right now,” the actor said, joking that he got a bit too Method for the show.
