Despite keeping a busy schedule, actor Tom Hanks seems to always have time for his family. On a recent visit to the Ellen DeGeneres Show, he announced his 25th wedding anniversary with wife Rita Wilson.

25 years in a Hollywood marriage must equal at least 100 years in normal people marriage, and that's why Tom looked very proud of this increasingly rare achievement for actors.

Ellen congratulated the “Captain Phillips” actor, saying, “You both celebrated, both obviously together, 25 years of marriage” – while he nodded approvingly –, “you're a good couple!” Tom again nodded and said with a smile, “I'm not one to suck up to the audience, but the only thing we ever argue about is who loves each other more.”

Needless to say, this drew a collective “awwww” both from the host of the show and from the audience. When prompted about his plans to celebrate this joyous occasion, the 57-year-old Oscar winner replied, “We decided to celebrate our 25th wedding anniversary by postponing the actual party.”

It seems that Tom's hectic schedule forced the party to be reprogrammed at a later time. Meanwhile, Hanks isn't resting on his laurels, as he's already busy promoting his latest film, “Saving Mr. Banks,” a movie where he plays the role of Walt Disney in a story about the making of the classic Disney production “Mary Poppins.” The film also stars British actress Emma Thompson and has opened in theaters all over the world.

It looks like Tom Hanks has managed to steer clear of all the Hollywood scandals and lead a somewhat normal life, despite being in the limelight since the early 80s. Congratulations to him and wife Rita Wilson for showing it is still possible to have a long-term marriage even if you're a celebrity.
