Tom Cruise and Katie Holmes Getting Ready for Baby Number 2

Katie Holmes and Tom Cruise, or TomKat as they’re known as a couple, have been subject to much speculation since they first started dating. Their life at home and the exact nature of their relationship, seemingly conducted by the strict rules of Scientology (as rumors say), has proved very fascinating to the media and fans alike. OK! Magazine, for instance, claims to have learned the “price” for another baby.

Granted, this should be taken with a huge grain of salt since OK! does have quite a reputation for bending the truth on certain occasions, like fans proved was the case with the so-called romance between Robert Pattinson and Kristen Stewart. This time, though, the mag claims to have it from very reliable sources that Katie Holmes has agreed to motherhood again in exchange of having a bank account set up in her name – with $75 million in it, nonetheless.

However, while the cover of the latest issue of OK! says that the second child of the couple will come into this world only because the two stars have reached a new marriage deal, the inside story seems to say something else. “Although rumors that the couple – who celebrated their three-year anniversary on Nov. 18 – have been separated because of marital tensions and not just work, OK! can exclusively report that the Cruises have reached a deal on expanding their family: Katie plans to get pregnant sometime in the next year,” the mag says, seemingly in tune with what the cover also says.

The story takes a turn with the words of an unnamed source, who confirms the upcoming pregnancy, adding that Katie is doing it because she truly WANTS it and because she and Tom continue to be as in love as they were when they first met. This alone would contradict the idea on the cover that Holmes is doing it for the money, many other US publications have been quick to note. “She no longer feels like she’s just Mrs. Cruise. She’s her own person again. She and Tom have their disagreements, but deep down they love each other very much. That’s what is important,” says the source.

Katie Holmes is supposed to become pregnant next year, since both she and Tom have concluded that Suri, their first child, is now old enough to allow Katie the time to invest in a newborn child. Should the couple confirm a pregnancy sometime throughout 2010, the world will know that at least part of this report was accurate.
