Actor Tom Cruise is rumoured to marry his fiancée, actress Katie Holmes, on Christmas day, because only in that period they are both free.

Cruise, 43, who proposed Katie, 26, in May at the Eiffel Tower in Paris, while he was promoting his latest movie, "War of the Worlds", is planning to marry his beautiful girlfriend on that special day because they both love the festive holiday so much.

A friend of the pair said: "They both love Christmas and it's the only time they are free. They want it to be a festive occasion and the plans are underway."

Apparently, Tom also planning to throw a scientologist party, with hundred of friends and celebrities, like his ex-wife Nicole Kidman, Cruise's Scientology friend John Travolta, Juliette Lewis and Lisa Marie Presley - the daughter of legendary singer Elvis Presley.
