While actor Tom Cruise was attending his latest movie premiere, "War of the Worlds", who took place in London in Leicester Square, he was splashed with water by a journalist from Channel 4.

Tom Cruise was giving him an interview, when the reporter squirted with a water pistol masquerading as a microphone.

The four men who put this together were hoping to make a joke, but Cruise wasn't amused by this incident and kept popping the question "Why would you do that ... why would you do that ... why would you do that?"

As the reporter offered a barely audible excuse, Cruise said: "Do you like thinking less of people, is that it?" "That's incredibly rude. I'm here giving you an interview and you do that, it's incredibly rude."

Cruise then said forcibly: "You're a jerk ... jerk ... you're a jerk."

The four men were arrested on suspicion of assault and later released on bail.
