The actor is not to blame for his reluctance to come out of the house but all this media frenzy is somehow his own doing. By refusing to appear in public with partner Katie Holmes and with their three-month old baby, all he managed to do was to arouse people's curiosity, up to the point of annoyance.

The couple is currently staying at a secluded Colorado ranch and both Katie and Tom are doing everything possible to avoid the media. On Saturday, Katie got a sudden craving for cherry soda but there was none in the house to be had.

So, like an attentive lover that he is, Tom sent his private jet and two personal assistants to do some shopping. A genuine spectacle followed at the local airport, where the plane stationed for almost two hours on the runway so that the servants could unload the groceries.

Reports show that the bags full of soda drinks and organic food were then carried to the compound in the most discrete manner.

This is just another example that, if you have the money, you can afford absolutely everything. And, also, that if you don't want to see your face in the newspapers, you can always live as a prisoner in your own home.
