14 DAY TRIAL // It's beginning to look as if being a top Scientologist sure has its perks. Tom Cruise, arguably one of the most famous Scientologists out there, is said to have been secretly involved in an affair with another prominent member of the church, right after the famous split from Katie Holmes.
Page Six is saying that Laura and Tom have been Scientology's It couple for some time now, but that they've managed to remain under the radar due to their discretion.
But despite their best efforts, the two have sparked some couple rumors last year, back in November when they were seen together enjoying a cozy dinner at the Manor Hotel in Los Angeles. At the time, representatives for both actors denied that there was anything going on between them from a romantic standpoint.
But, knowing Hollywood, that surely didn't put a stop to all the gossip as an insider reveals that there are still rumors going around on the set of Laura's show that she's seeing Tom in secret. Prepon is currently starring as a gay drug dealer on the hit TV series “Orange Is the New Black.”
“It's the buss on the set of her show,” claims the insider, as attention now turns to that fateful day back in November 2013 when Laura and Tom spent a lovely date. According to reports at the time, Tom came in to pick up Laura in a vintage car.
As soon as they arrived at the Manor Hotel, the couple was met with a bottle of 1979 Merlot on the table. An eyewitness reveals that “They spent three hours laughing and joking. It’s clear Tom is smitten and after the date he was on cloud nine.”
Because they had such a good time, the date gave way to a second meeting, at the very same spot “They had their second date at the restaurant, too, meeting for Sunday brunch, and then she accompanied him a few days later to a dinner party at John [Travolta]’s home.”
At the moment, Laura and Tom deny the affair, but sources close to the church of Scientology claim that they are very much an item. It is believed that the church of Scientology has a say in Tom's relations, as he held auditions for a suitable wife back when he split from Nicole Kidman.
Katie Holmes, the woman with whom he ended up with was eventually converted to Scientology at Tom's insistence, so now it's clear that he's taking his pick from the women who already are members of the church.
