Developer Ubisoft has released another batch of screenshots from the upcoming third-person shooter Tom Clancy's The Division, and they look pretty good.

The newest screens give us a better look at two of the upcoming game's settings, a subway station and a New York city open street, highlighting the power of the brand new Snow Engine, the beast that powers The Division.

The game takes place in New York, and is set three weeks after a lethal virus, released on Black Friday, ravaged the city. The game follows the breakdown of society and civilization, as services and power fail and everything sinks into anarchy.

The president invokes Presidential Directive 51, an emergency protocol that activates The Division, a secret unit of self-supporting tactical agents purposefully trained for emergency response in this particular type of scenario.

This will see players stepping into the shoes of said individuals, attempting to maintain whatever sense of order they can and quell gang activity and other related behavior by any means necessary, in a massive multiplayer situation where they face both AI-controlled opponents as well as other players.

The massively multiplayer online third-person shooter video game is slated for release sometime in 2015, coming to the PC, PlayStation 4 and Xbox One platforms.
