GRAW, as Tom Clancy's game is often referred to, comes with an upgraded AI for the Ghosts and some new Cross-Com features. The graphics are also improved – for example, the devs implemented changing weather systems. GRAW's online popularity was one of the most important aspects of the game.

Tom Clancy's Ghost Recon Advanced Warfighter includes a bunch of changes compared to the previous iterations: continuation of the multiplayer Co-op campaign with 4 all-new missions in Chapter 2, 8 revisited multiplayer Adversarial maps, 2 all-new game types with 1 new game mode – Team Battle, 2 new camouflage patterns, 4 new character customization faces and 5 new weapons.
