Two Tribes, the developer of the upcoming Toki Tori 2 puzzle platformer, has just updated the game’s beta stage on the PC, which is distributed via Steam, with lots of new content.

Toki Tori 2 is the next big game from Two Tribes and the sequel to the cult classic title from 10 years ago. It will be released on the Nintendo Wii U on December 20 but also on the PC at a later point in time.

In order to make sure that the game will handle well on the PC platform, the developer organized a special beta stage via the Steam digital distribution service for quite some time.

Now, this beta has just been updated with lots of new content, totaling about a third of the final game.

“It's got a huge batch of new content and should play close to final! We're in desperate need of your recordings, so we've basically given you a third of the entire game to play through. Be careful though, since there is a lot of near final content in this build, only play it if you don't want any spoilers,” the studio wrote on Steam.

In case you want to get in on the beta, you just need to contact Two Tribes via its website and express your interest in trying out the game.

After receiving your trial key, you can jump into this updated beta, record your gameplay sessions, and then share them with Two Tribes. In case you need help with this, the studio posted a quick guide on Steam.

How to record your session? To record your play session, simply press 'R' and press 'Record' before you start playing.

How to submit your session? To submit your recorded level, press 'Stop' and then 'Show File'. This will open a file dialog. Zip the resulting file and e-mail (tokitori2 [at] twotribes [dot] com) it to us and we are forever grateful!

Toki Tori 2 will include a variety of impressive features on the PC, including a level editor that allows players to create their own maps as well as support for the Steam Workshop, so that players can simply share their creations with other owners of the game.
