A little girl from China’s eastern Shandong Province has been rescued by the fire department after becoming trapped in a washing machine.

Emergency personnel have been forced to cut the appliance open in order to release the three-year-old, writes Web Pro News.

It appears that her parents left her unsupervised in a family friend’s home, and the toddler climbed into the washing machine, getting stuck from her waist down.

The girl’s mother tells reporters that she is used to her daughter playing in the washing machine, The Telegraph adds. Firefighters apparently used candy to keep her from crying, and were able to get her out.

It appears she is safe and sound at the end of the rescue operation, shown in the video posted above this article.
