Japanese lens manufacturer Toda Seiko has recently announced a new fisheye lens compatible with Fujifilm's X-mount as well as Sony's E-mount mirrorless cameras.

This is a manual focus lens, which means you won't be able to use AF on any of the supported cameras; instead, you will have to do it the old-fashioned way using the focus ring. Moreover, the lens comes with a fixed aperture of f/7.4, which makes it usable only in bright lighting conditions when an f/8 aperture won't be any problem.

The new Toda Seiko 12mm f/7.4 fisheye lens comes with a seven-layer multicoating designed to minimize flare and chromatic aberrations.

With 4 lens elements in 4 groups, this new lens has a total length of 58.5mm and weighs only 220g. The lens is now available for purchase in Japan at a price of 24,800 yen / $240 / €177. Will you consider buying this lens if it is made available in your country?
