Apitherapy is the therapy which employing medicines produced by bees: honey, pollen, propolis, queen milk, wax and venom.

It is an alternative to synthetic drugs, which many times have harmful secondary effects.

The bee's products contain concentrated vitamins, mineral salts, amino acids, fats, sugar, proteins and hormones that are easy assimilable and perfectly tolerated by the organism.

Scientific researches have identified in the flowers' pollen, a prime matter for honey, 54 active chemicals, with a wide spectrum of efficiency
in the human body. In honey, these effects are greatly amplified. Acacia and lime honey has a pain killer effect; the chestnut honey favors vein and artery circulation, descongestion of the liver and prostate; rape honey is useful in varicous ulcer treatment; apple honey is a general fortifier, especially of the heart; willow honey favors diuresis and stimulates digestive functions.

Lime honey is used as sedative in couching, insomnia and bronchitis.

The multi-flower honey has antiseptic effect (in antiquity it was placed directly over the wounds).

Mint honey is used as analgesic, tonic, digestive swelling, bile dyskinesia, and gastrointestinal conditions.

Coniferous honey is a powerful antiseptic and diuretic and anti inflammatory for the respiratory paths.

The propolis is employed in treating dermatosis and dermatitis, respiratory infections, affections of the prostate, teeth and endocrine, wound healing, and as a pain killer.

Even the wax, reach in fatty alcohols, vitamin A, and antibiotics is used as an anti-inflammatory and scaring compound, employed against infected plagues and skin diseases.

The queen milk, full of vitamins and minerals, is a biological stimulant, energizing and regenerator compound.

Pollen is full of proteins and iron, being beneficial for liver and digestive tract, and indicated for sports men and growing children.

The bee venom is employed by centuries (by stinging), even by ancient Egyptians, against rheumatism, due to its anticoagulant and anti-inflammatory effects.

More recently, the bee venom by stinging is highly popular in the treatment of neurodegenerative conditions.
