Again, Swarovski headphones.

Bling – the final frontier. That's the first thing that came to my mind as I first looked at the new headphones from the London-based DEOS. In fact, we're not even talking about the headphones themselves but about an even funnier thing: special-design covers, adorned in full or in half with Swarovski crystals. If you feel like your current headphones aren't shiny enough, then you should definitely fork in the cash and hype up your music-listening.

Anything goes as far as DEOS' offer is concerned: they've got something for almost anyone, from the filthy-rich to those who are just looking for an affordable way to turn some heads.

DEOS offers three different ranges of blingy earphones with dramatic differences between them. The first one and the most affordable at the same time, is the aluminium cover series, coming in a dazzling multitude of nuances, from the calm and easy to match colors to the brutally strident cyberpunk ones. Now, it's true that aluminium is a very neat choice for headphones, especially since it is fairly solid and very light; and when anodized, some very attractive finishes can be obtained. These plain-color aluminium covers retail for around $20; if you have no better use for this amount of money, maybe modding your headphones could be the next big hit.

The second series means Swarovski crystals studded into the cover in a very large palette of colors, even if DEOS have skipped the disturbing fashions this time. If you plan to go Swarovski with your headphones, you can choose between the half-covered and the full-covered versions from DEOS, with prices between $110 and $200. If you think that the only thing that impedes you to be happy with your MP3 player is the shine around your ears and you are ready to spend $200 on it, of course, DEOS will be more than happy to help you put a contented smile on your face.

Finally, here is the bling-of-all-blings: diamonds. DEOS were not shy at all to produce the above mentioned headphone covers in an all-diamond design, with prices ranging from $4,500 to – brace yourselves – $60,000. Now, let's see what's behind all this: you feel like you must be impeccably elegant and have a rich look as you are about to attend a most formal and luxurious reception. Since "diamonds" spells "rich," the DEOS headphones now seem a natural choice. Yet how impolite could anyone be as to appear at such an event while listening to some music from an MP3 player?

But, oh, I completely forgot: you could actually show up with a golden iPod in your hand, with the headphone cable neatly curled in your palm, and with the ear pieces showing off, apparently by mistake, silently screaming "look at me, I am so rich!" And in this case, anything goes.
