Bluepoint Games needs time to tinker the patches and add-ons for 360

Titanfall developer Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that it's continuing its partnership with Bluepoint Games, the studio that ported the game onto the Xbox 360, as it will offer updates and DLC for that version of the title after their release on PC and Xbox One.

Titanfall launched on the PC and Xbox One in March, coming from Respawn Entertainment, and after two subsequent delays, it finally reached the Xbox 360 console in April through developer Bluepoint Games, delivering a great multiplayer-only first-person shooter experience.

Since then, Respawn has already released one major update for the game and it is working hard on new free and premium content, like the Expedition map pack, which is set to appear in May.

The studio has now confirmed on its official blog that it's continuing the partnership with Bluepoint for all Titanfall updates and DLC.

"We’re pleased to confirm that Bluepoint continues their partnership with us to support the Xbox 360 version. We have them following Respawn’s lead bringing updates and improvements to the Xbox 360," the studio said.

"This will include free updates including further enhancements to Private Matches and more as well as paid DLC including the upcoming release of Titanfall: Expedition. We’re definitely listening to your feedback, so keep it coming."

However, due to the nature of the Xbox 360 platform, patches and DLC will be released a few weeks after their arrival on the PC or Xbox One, as Bluepoint needs extra time to ensure that it doesn't affect the game's performance or stability.

"Updates for the Xbox 360 will naturally follow behind similar updates for the PC and Xbox One. This timing difference is due to the same reasons that more time was needed to finish Titanfall for the Xbox 360," the developer added.

"Respawn must first finish their additions and improvements for the Xbox One and PC, and afterwards Bluepoint can then grab the latest and update the Xbox 360 version. We’re working with Respawn and Bluepoint to streamline the process and close the gap, allowing Xbox 360 updates to be published as closely as possible to Respawn’s updates."

Right now, Bluepoint has released one update for the Xbox 360 edition to modify the Gooser challenge requirement, while the rest of the bug fixes and improvements already launched for PC and Xbox One are coming soon to the old console.

Titanfall will get the Expedition map pack for PC and Xbox One this month, while the Xbox 360 will receive it in June.
