Lots of tweaks for the ejection mechanics, the dome shield, or the actual titanfalls

Respawn Entertainment has rolled out a brand new update for Titanfall on the PC and Xbox One, and it has just revealed some of the most important balance tweaks made by the patch on the two platforms.

Titanfall delighted quite a lot of different fans all around the world by delivering an addictive multiplayer-only first-person shooter experience across the PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360 platforms.

Developer Respawn Entertainment pledged to augment the experience even further by using free updates and game modes, but also premium expansions like the upcoming Expedition one, which is set to debut later this month on the PC and Xbox One, and in June for Xbox 360.

Now, a new patch has just gone live for Titanfall on the first two platforms, bringing forth a suite of major new features but also plenty of different balance updates to game mechanics and features, according to the official website.

First up, the win or loss credit will be awarded right when the Victory or Defeat messages are shown during matches, not at the final screen. What's more, if players leave a match before it's over, they'll get a loss credit.

The normal ejection mechanic has been tweaked as the damage and area of effect of the whole procedure was larger than intended, leading to some unwanted situations, according to Respawn.

"Previously, a normal Titan eject caused damage over an unintentionally large area of effect, slightly larger than the circle outlining the statue in Corporate. This has been reduced, and the damage has been reduced as well. This brings the effect in-line with the ejection visual FX. The original intent of the eject explosion damage was to reward an ejecting pilot for accurately anticipating or baiting an enemy Titan into an execution attempt, but the size of the explosion made this too easy."

The Nuclear Ejection system does more damage against Titans, as its previous iteration didn't do enough damage to warrant selecting this option for your mech.

Shooting enemy mega turrets and evacuation dropships also rewards players with reductions in titan build time or titan core charge time, meaning it will take less for your titan to become available or to get its core ability online.

The Dome Shield system has also been tweaked to eliminate exploits and errors, such as Auto-Titans engaging enemies inside the dome shield, or melee attacks causing a Titan to be knocked out of the shield.

Last but not least, titanfalls can no longer be called near the evacuation dropships and can no longer cause damage to the actual vehicles, stopping a common exploit.

The new patch is already available for download on PC and Xbox One and will appear for Xbox 360 in the future.
