Lots of different tweaks are coming to the online shooter

Respawn Entertainment confirms that quite a lot of different gameplay changes, improvements, and bug fixes are going to appear alongside Titanfall update #6 in the near future, including some to ensure better balance on the battlefield.

Titanfall came out this spring and impressed millions of fans with its multiplayer-only first-person shooter action across the PC and Xbox One, at first, and after a month on the Xbox 360.

The game has since received two different DLC packs, alongside a few major updates from developer Respawn Entertainment, all designed to keep players excited about the shooter and to ensure a balanced experience.

Now, after hearing about the all-new features that will be a part of Titanfall patch #6, the studio has now shared on its official website what sort of gameplay improvements, changes, and bug fixes are going to be included in the upcoming update.

First up, various visual effects should look a bit better and require less CPU cores, according to Respawn, while the matchmaking system should provide even faster search times, improved team balancing, and an increase in the chance of being included in crowded games. The chances of dropping into scarce matches or unbalanced ones are going to be drastically lowered.

Last Titan Standing matches will properly display the score in the center of the screen at the end of each round as well as the number of pilots left alive on each team. Players in all matches will also get to enjoy new voiceover tracks to note their victory, loss, and the gap between the two teams.

In terms of actual gameplay changes, players will notice quite a few new things, such as titans no longer showing up on the minimap when they dash. In order to avoid a rush of new burn cards for high level players, the Bonus XP-to-Credits conversion rate has been adjusted. Selling rare Burn Cards now also nets a larger payout, from 200 to 400 credits.

The melee damage dealt by Titans has been tweaked to mirror the original design envisioned by Respawn. As such, the Ogre is the most lethal melee titan model, followed by the Atlas and, at the end, the Stryder. Adding the Big Punch mod to the mechs doesn't affect their ranks.

Last but not least, a series of bug fixes concerning the Black Market, Auto-Titan behavior, or grenades is going to be included in the new patch. What's more, a rare crash situation on the Demeter map in Campaign mode has been eliminated.

Xbox One owners will also notice less errors when being in a party as well as when they use a SmartGlass app.

As of yet, Titanfall update #6 still doesn't have a release date so look forward to more announcements from Respawn soon.
