Titanfall fans have started combing through the game's files on the PC version and have found quite a lot of references to new game modes as well as descriptions of weapons that were a part of the game but got scrapped ahead of its release, such as orbital lasers and much more.

Titanfall was one of the most anticipated games of the year, with Respawn Entertainment and Electronic Arts hyping up the multiplayer-only first-person shooter in all sorts of ways ahead of its release.

This spring, the game finally appeared on PC and Xbox One, and a month later on the Xbox 360, delighting millions of fans with its intense action. Since then, the studio has released two different DLC packs, not to mention quite a few updates with improvements and free content, such as Titan customization options.

Now, it seems that some of Respawn's future plans have been uncovered by a clever Reddit user who started combing through the game's files on the PC platform.

He uncovered a lot of data pertaining to new game modes that might appear in the game, as well as old weapons and abilities that were a part of the shooter during development but ultimately got dumped along the way.

First up, the new game modes include experiences called Elimination, ATDM, Wingman LTS, Big Brother, Capture the Titan, Uplink, Exfiltration, Titan Tag, and Titan Escort.

While Wingman LTS was already confirmed by Respawn, the other ones have yet to be detailed. Big Brother sees a sort of King of the Hill strategy, in which a team must defend a control panel from the attacking team. Capture the Titan tasks players with getting into a target titan and bringing it to their base, while Titan Tag sees a player become 'it' during the match when they doom a titan.

Besides the game modes, plenty of listings for possible weapons, abilities, and powers were uncovered, but it seems that most of them were a part of the game during development and ended up being scrapped ahead of the actual release.

These include the ability to summon orbital lasers or rocket strikes by throwing a target grenade, as well as the chance to wield a titan shotgun while controlling a giant mech.

Another combat role, that of the Operator, was also uncovered, through which players could act as a sort of commander for the forces on the field and drop health stations, turrets, drones, satellite strikes, and more onto the battlefield.

As of yet, Respawn Entertainment hasn't commented on the uncovered data.
