A brand new rumor appeared online claiming that Titanfall's native Xbox One resolution has been lowered from the previously confirmed 792p to 720p, but the report has just been denied by a representative of developer Respawn Entertainment.

Titanfall is coming next month on PC, Xbox One, and Xbox 360, and the game's native resolution on Microsoft's new console has sparked a big debate amongst gamers worldwide.

Respawn confirmed a few weeks ago that the title would run at 792p, which is then upscaled to 1080p on the Xbox One.

Now, a new report has appeared online from NeoGAF's CBoaT, who claims that the resolution has been lowered to 720p in order to make sure the 60fps framerate target doesn't suffer.

Such a thing is false, however, as Respawn's Abbie Heppe revealed to DualShockers that "We’re not dropping the resolution for launch. Nothing has changed from what we’ve said in recent interviews."

As such, expect Titanfall to retain its 792p native resolution on the Xbox One.

CBoaT was wrong on several occasions before, claiming that the beta stage of Titanfall would have the same low-res textures seen in the alpha, but that turned out not to be true, as the textures were noticeably better.
