The Xbox 360 edition of the game still needs a bit of work

Xbox 360 owners who were looking forward to the launch of Titanfall for their platform will have to wait a little longer, as the title has been delayed once more until early April.

Titanfall launched earlier this month for the PC and Xbox One platforms, amazing millions of gamers worldwide with its great multiplayer-only first-person shooter action.

The title was set to appear at the same time for the Xbox 360 but Respawn Entertainment and developer Bluepoint decided that the game's adaptation for the old Microsoft console needs a bit more time for polishing and delayed it several weeks, until March 25.

Now, however, just as Xbox 360 owners were getting hyped for a release next week, Bluepoint has just confirmed on the official Titanfall website that another delay was decided upon by the two studios, so that the game's Xbox 360 version will live up to the expectations of fans from around the world.

"I want to update everyone on Titanfall for Xbox 360 in development with Bluepoint Games. I’ve been playing the game a lot, and it is fantastic," one of Respawn's representatives said about the state of the game's Xbox 360 edition.

"But we see a few things that can be made even better, so we’re giving Bluepoint a little more time to do just that and deliver an epic Titanfall experience for Xbox 360 players."

As such, Titanfall for the Xbox 360 is now set to appear on April 8, in North America, and April 11, throughout Europe and the rest of the world.

Respawn has emphasized that the Xbox 360 edition of the multiplayer shooter will feature the same content as the PC or Xbox One versions, including "the same 6v6 gameplay, maps, modes, weapons and Burn Cards."

"We appreciate everyone’s patience as we get the last details right. See you on the Frontier," the representative added.

A few worrying reports have appeared in the last few weeks about the Xbox 360 edition of Titanfall, as insiders claimed that the title will certainly not live up to the expectations of fans in terms of performance or framerate.

One rumor in particular said that the game was locked at a 30fps framerate and that its resolution was under 720p.

Considering Titanfall on the Xbox One is struggling to maintain 60fps at all times with a 792p resolution, the reports make quite a bit of sense.

Hopefully the new delay will allow Bluepoint to keep upgrading the title.
