The online game is already plagued by nefarious players using unfair methods

Respawn Entertainment has confirmed that it's going to start punishing Titanfall players who use aimbots and other such hacks in the multiplayer game very soon.

Titanfall started rolling out earlier this week around the world and many players have assaulted the multiplayer-only first-person shooter in order to see if it lives up to all the hype.

Unfortunately, as with practically any game, cheaters have appeared, using different exploits and hacks to gain an unfair advantage over others during the online matches.

Fortunately, Respawn is aware of the cheaters in Titanfall and has confirmed on its official Twitter account that it's logging those who play with such hacks enabled and that "they will be rooted out shortly."

More specifically, Respawn said that some Titanfall users are resorting to aimbots and other such things to dominate regular users who play fair.

It's unclear just what punishments await those who cheat in Titanfall, as their accounts could get suspended or banned for a certain period of time, thereby locking them out completely from the game.

Also, no word yet on when the wave of punishments will start, so expect to still find cheaters in Titanfall matches at least for a few more days, until Titanfall confirms its measures.
