The Titanfall beta stage won't be an open test phase, according to developer Respawn, which has confirmed that it's going to use codes in order to allow players in in waves.

Titanfall is set to receive a beta stage this month, and developer Respawn has shared a few more details about the test phase that's going to be organized on PC and Xbox One.

Now, the studio's co-founder, Vince Zampella, has confirmed on Twitter that the beta stage won't be one that's open for all right from the beginning, as the studio is going to allow players to enter it when they use special codes.

According to Zampella, this method ensures that the game won't succumb to a large influx of players right from the start, as users will be let in the test phase in waves. The core goal is still to "get as many people in as possible," so don't worry about missing out on beta testing Titanfall.
