The fringe is not only the hottest trend in hairstyles, but also the one thing that can make the difference between a regular cut and a truly exquisite appearance. Since cases of women leaving the hair salon quite unsatisfied with their new ‘do are still frequent enough, another option for us would be cutting our own fringe at home, and stylists are more than eager to help here too.

Luckily, celebrity hairstylist Denise McAdam comes through for us, offering a few easy steps to get the perfect fringe, just as we like it. First thing first, we should make sure to cut the hair when it’s perfectly dry to have it fall at the right length.

After thoroughly combing it, we must part it as usual and then make a V-shape parting in front. Depending on whether we want the fringe thick or not, we can go as further towards the top of the head as we want.

Next up, we should twist the lock of hair and then, holding the scissors at the angle, proceed to cutting the ends. We should pay attention to trim as little as possible at first, since this will allow us to repeat the operation as many times as needed, as opposed to cutting away a big chunk from the start. Useless to say, once we trim too much hair, there is no going back, so we should not hurry into this.

The last step is the easiest, while also being the one that will reveal to us the much-coveted fringe. “Release the twist to let the fringe fall. Lift the fringe from underneath with a comb to reveal any uneven or stray hairs, and snip them off with the points of your scissors, as before. You should be left with a soft fringe that gently frames the face.” Denise McAdam says for the Daily Mail.

Once this operation is completed as well, we should have the ‘do we’ve always wanted. Further styling and a good hairspray will then guarantee a hairstyle that will certainly make us the envy of all our friends.
