Splitting the cost of a personal trainer session can be the solution to saving up while still enjoying all the perks

Going to the gym can be a fun activity, if you’ve got the right friend to take with you. He or she can make time seem like flying when working hard to shed the pounds, while also helping you out when you need to correct your posture, or someone to pep talk you. Even better than a friend for that last part is a personal trainer, whose cost you can share with the ever-reliable friend, FitSugar advises.

This way, not only will you continue to have the same amount of (slimming) fun, but you will also do so while not feeling a complete strain on your budget. Personal trainers, as useful as they may be for keeping us out of trouble and telling us what we’re doing right and what not (perhaps mostly the latter), are also expensive and, as FitSugar points out, there’s no need to give up working out solely on account of the money issues.

So, the easiest solution for this is to speak to your personal trainer and ask them if they were willing to consider training two persons for the price of just one. Make them see that, basically, there is nothing to be lost by agreeing as they would still be doing the work as if for one client. Stressing that you’re doing this because of the money might not be a good idea, so play the “I need my friend” card, while also making them understand that, clearly, they would be doing you a personal favor if they agreed to it.

If you succeed in your endeavor, then you and your friend will share the $30-50 per session cost (at best, because there are personal trainers who go for considerably more than this), which should literally make it possible for you to continue working out. However, if you fail, do not despair, FitSugar advises. All is not lost just because this trainer did not find your proposal interesting enough.

Precisely because of the two reasons mentioned above (money and the need of a friend’s company), several fitness clubs have already put up offers for two-for-the-price of one subscriptions. These imply exactly what their name suggests - they allow you and your friend to get a personal trainer while paying only one subscription. So, now there’s really nothing stopping us from hitting the gym.
