Robert Shingledecker announced the immediate availability for download of the Tiny Core 4.7.6 Linux operating system.

Tiny Core is a distribution that is highly modular and made use of with community-built extensions. Its ultimate goal is to create an operating system that is both easy to use and very small.

The latest iteration of Tiny Core Linux is just a simple maintenance release, and only a couple of updates have been implemented.

The tce-setup has been updated in order to support a startup script for gzs, and updated version of tc-terminal-server has been added to boot_file /pxelinux.0.

The distribution is very slim and it starts with a 3.x Linux kernel, vmlinuz 3.0, and a 5MB core.gz. Check the official announcement for a complete list of changes.
