Tiny Core Linux, a small, minimal Linux distribution based on Linux kernel 3.0, Busybox, Tiny X, and Flt, has reached version 4.2.1.

The developers have stated that Tiny Core Linux has become an example of what the Core project can produce.

The 4.2 series introduces CorePlus as a simple way to get started using the Core philosophy. After three release candidates in the 4.2 series, a final version is now available.

Highlights of Tiny Core Linux 4.2.1:

· Aterm was updated, with patches, for dead key issue; · tce-setup was updated in order to capture suppress boot messages as requested; · CorePlus was also updated with the latest extensions from repository, plus Openbox; · More firmware extensions have been added; · dhcpd.sh was updated and a timeout of 5 sec to “udevadm settle” has been added.
