Tina Fey is about to become a mommy in about four months’ time: the funny lady has confirmed the happy news on a taping for an Oprah episode that is yet to air, People magazine has learned.

The news comes quite as a shock, since not even a peep of the pregnancy got out in the tabloids before Fey herself confirmed it.

Then again, seeing how private the star is, and how little she talks about her personal life and her marriage to Jeff Richmond, it’s not that much of a surprise if one thinks about it.

“During a taping of The Oprah Winfrey Show Wednesday, Fey revealed that she’s expecting her second child,” People informs.

“The 30 Rock star is five months along, her rep confirms to People. Fey and her husband, composer Jeff Richmond, also have a 5-year-old daughter, Alice,” adds the celebrity magazine.

“Fey, 40, shared the news during an appearance to promote her new book, Bossypants, and an upcoming Saturday Night Live reunion. Oprah’s chat with Fey is scheduled to air April 12,” People notes.

As of now, this is all there is available on the pregnancy but, as the air date for the Oprah episode, more is bound to emerge.

In an older interview with Harper’s Bazaar, Fey talked about her life and described it as extremely hectic and busy from morning to late at night.

She detailed her de-stressing techniques and, at the same time, spoke against Botox, which is proving so popular with everyone in Hollywood these days.

“You can point any kind of laser at my face, but I don’t think Botox is for me. I think it is bad. People who have too much, they look like their faces are full of candles – a shiny, shiny face. Festive. A holiday candle,” she said, as we also reported at the time.
