The Romanian Directorate for Investigating Organized Crime and Terrorism (DIICOT) has revealed that 20-year-old Cernaianu Manole Razvan, known on the hacking scene as TinKode has been indicted for committing cybercrimes.

Cernaianu is accused of repeatedly accessing without authorization the servers and websites of “important institutions” from Europe, the United States and South Africa with the purpose of stealing confidential information.

In the indictment, the hacker is named as being responsible for breaching the systems of the US Military, from which he leaked data that he later posted on his personal blog.

He is also believed to have breached a NASA webserver, and several sites managed by the US government, including the Pentagon.

Authorities hold him responsible for selling pieces of software utilized to hack into websites.

It’s estimated that the damages caused by Cernaianu sum up to $250,000 (€190,000). A court in Drobeta Turnu Severin will handle his case.
