TimeSplitters is a 2000 first-person shooter for the Sony PlayStation 2 developed by Free Radical Design and published by Eidos and the first game in the Timesplitters series. It was released October 26, 2000 as a launch game for the Sony PlayStation 2. The game revolves around the concept of traveling through time, with each level in the story mode occurring in a specified year between 1935 and 2035 with characters and weaponry reflecting each setting. The game featured a Story Mode, Arcade Mode, unlockable Challenge Mode and Map Maker.
