Arnold Vink, developer of TimeMe for Windows Phone devices, has just announced that his application is now compatible with the latest version of Microsoft’s mobile operating system.

Since Microsoft released Windows Phone 8.1 Developer Preview last week, lots of developers have been working to add support for the new build of the platform.

For those unfamiliar, TimeMe is a live tile application for Windows Phone that shows current time, date, weather, and, if the user wishes, current battery level. All these details are shown in a single live tile.

In addition, TimeMe also includes some other useful tools like stopwatch, timer, world clock, and sleepscreen mode. The same application also allows users to turn their camera flashlight on and off when needed.

Keep in mind that this is still in alpha, so it may not work properly all the time. Those who are willing to take it for a test should also offer their feedback on any bugs they find. However, the developer recommends all feedback to be sent to forums instead of badly reviewing the application in the Windows Phone Store.

New users will probably want to know how they can get TimeMe on their Windows Phone 8.1 devices. Well, here are the step-by-step instructions on how to install TimeMe, as provided by the developer:

“1) Install the TimeMe application on your Windows Phone from the store. 2) Launch TimeMe once to enable the background live tile updates task. 3) Pin the live tile inside the app and set the live tile to the selected size.”

The alpha version of TimeMe for Windows Phone 8.1 comes with a few extra features and enhancements, which are mentioned in the official changelog.

For example, the developer has confirmed that the store version of the application will now update the tile every minute. Furthermore, some miscellaneous improvements and bug fixes have been included as well.

One last piece of advice coming from the developer is that this build of TimeMe might need a reinstallation in order to work properly.

For more details on how to use the application on your Windows Phone 8.1, you might want to check the “Help” window or tab included in TimeMe. Stay tuned for more updates on future versions of TimeMe for Windows Phone 8.1.

You can now download TimeMe for Windows Phone 8.1 2.0.0.0 for free via Windows Phone Store. As we mentioned earlier, this build of the application only works on devices powered by Windows Phone 8.1.
