Media Atelier's TimeLog, recently updated to 4.3, is only one of many available time-tracking applications. However, while apps such as
Billings and
iRatchet do their bit,
TimeLog integrates tightly with Address Book, iCal, .mac Sync and iSync, offering tons of new features as well. Only for Leopard users, though.
Added features include backup options, custom Address Book format, setting the calendar
in new project dialog, more rounding options, the option to ignore window titles in the Application tracker and more. Localizations have also been tweaked up while note saving using the "i" button and exporting selection to iWork count among the fixes TimeLog 4 brings.
"Introducing TimeLog 4 Keeping track of the time you spend on your projects has never been easier. Offering an interface similar to iTunes, every Mac user feels familiar with TimeLog," says
Media Atelier.
As mentioned above, TimeLog integrates with iCal, Address Book, .mac Sync and iSync. It analyzes your iCal calendars and calculates the exact time you spend on your projects. More than that, you can assign clients to your projects from the MacOS X Address Book and if you work on different Macs that are synced with .mac, your time sheets will be updated regularly.
The Status menu lets you access your project from within any application. If you work with subscribed Calendars, you can see them merged so you can keep an eye on your co-workers' project times.
Application Tracking TimeLog will most likely appeal to all users, as it tracks the applications you are using and shows it in its time line, making it easy to keep track of your work if you've somehow forgotten to hit that timer.
On top of all, new Export to iWork TimeLog can export your lists to Pages or to Numbers in no time.
HERE's the demo version if you want to give it a go for free (limited to/allows 50 entries).
