Timbaland Thinks Britney Will Screw the VMAs

If there's anything this world officially doesn't need, that is another Britney scandal. Not that we don't enjoy it - but many of us can't focus on so many areas at the same time. And since Britney is once again the talk of the day with the two new singles leaked just hours ago, I believe she is getting enough attention as it is. Joke. There will never be such a thing as "not a Britney gossip". There's plenty of it out there and the hottest has to do, once again, with the VMAs that are less than two weeks away.

Apparently, they're still negotiating Britney opening the show and while it's quite understandable not to trust her in the least with delivering a hot performance, it's still a rather sensitive issue. I mean, positive or negative, it's still called attention. And in the unlikely opportunity that Brit Brit does wake up from the long coma she's been in and actually sings, it will make for a totally awesome opening for a show that is already announced as out of this world. So, it's all a matter of "sit and wait" for now.

But rumor has it, not everybody is crazy about Britney. Timbaland is reportedly worried that the Britster will ruin the show for the other performers by getting all the media attention on her and not leaving any for those who actually deserve it. Hey, the man's got a point. Really. Just imagine Britney climbing up on stage and falling on her butt a few times, everyone will be in a craze to figure if she's put on panties this time around and will not even care that it's Justin or Rihanna performing on stage.

It's also been confirmed (sort of) that should Britney perform, Criss Angel will definitely be up there, helping her along with a disappearing act that will involve some mirrors and Britney's dancers also vanishing and reappearing at strategic intervals. Here's a thought - why doesn't he try to have Britney replaced by an alternate-reality version of herself that's thinner, more responsible and happily married - and not drinking, if possible? But we'd settle for the first three wishes if the fourth one's too much. Not to sound like the crazy one here, but I honestly think there's not much Britney can do about her already crumbling reputation - especially not pull rabbits out of hats. But who knows - this Angel character is rumored to be very good, he might just be able to pull this stunt off.
