14 DAY TRIAL // Tim McGraw isn’t just a talented country singer, he also happens to be a very handsome man – and his hotness factor recently shot up after he revealed his impressive physical transformation. Some ladies might be excused in the eyes of their respective partners for finding him so irresistible as to grab onto him and not let go, but not by Tim himself.
The other day, while performing at the Aaron’s Amphitheatre at Lakewood in Atlanta, in the middle of the song “Truck Yeah,” Tim slapped a female fan who appeared to have grabbed him on the leg and was refusing to let go.
Embedded below are two videos of the moment, shot from different angles and thus offering a better perspective on what happened. In the second video, you can see the woman’s head getting thrown back as she receives the slap right in the face so, no, this was no friendly pat on the cheek: this was a forceful slap.
Reports online claim that the woman first patted Tim on the knee and then grabbed his leg, pulling him towards her. Others also say that she tore his jeans as he tried to break free, which probably infuriated the star and thus made him react this way.
TMZ reports that Atlanta PD has been alerted of the incident and has seen both videos, but they will not be pressing charges because the woman who got slapped didn’t file a police complaint. Even if she didn’t, the police are with their hands tied because McGraw seems to have acted in self-defense: the woman forcefully grabbed his leg, so he slapped her, which is a “common reaction.”
The same media outlet adds that the police will investigate if the woman files a complaint, but if she hasn’t done that yet, chances she might do in the following days are slim to none.
However, there’s also this: “Take a close look at the video. It appears Tim reacts by making a movement that causes her to release his leg... but then he takes a quick beat before hauling off and slapping her. So the slap looks gratuitous,” TMZ points out.
In other words, if the woman wanted a quick paycheck and / or to get back at McGraw for slapping her, this could be her meal ticket.
Meanwhile, the star is facing serious backlash online for his gesture, self-defense or no self-defense. Shortly after the videos emerged online, hundreds of comments started popping up all over the blogosphere blasting him for hitting a woman because, apparently, no matter the circumstance, men should always show constraint and not get physical with a woman.
McGraw is yet to comment on the incident in any way.
