Apple opened its latest retail store in the US this past weekend, with CEO Tim Cook attending the launch event much to everyone’s surprise.

The 15,030-square-foot retail store is located at 340 University Avenue and features an impressive glass array, complete with a transparent ceiling, allowing the sun to light up the venue.

Estimated to cost roughly $3,15 million (€2,43 million), the store celebrated its grand opening this past Saturday, with Tim Cook himself attending the event.

The Apple CEO paced calmly inside the store greeting everyone with handshakes, smiles, and hand waving.

Cook is known to make such surprise appearances, much in the same way Steve Jobs did on occasion. As the footage embedded above shows, the CEO was wearing a black shirt with a white Apple logo stamped on it.
