Tim Cook, the chief executive officer of Apple Inc., has sent out a company-wide memo (following the Q4 2013 earnings call) congratulating staffers on their achievements in the success of the latest devices and the software that runs through their circuits.

In usual Cook fashion, the CEO addresses his troops with a cordial “Team,” adding, “We’ve just posted financial results for fiscal Q4, including record-setting iPhone sales.”

“I am happy to report that Apple’s business has never been stronger, and we are heading into the holidays with an amazing lineup led by the new iPhone 5s, iPhone 5c, the stunning iPad Air and iPad mini with Retina display,” Cook says.

“You and your teams work incredibly hard to deliver the very best products in the world, and our customers simply love them. I’m extremely proud of the collaboration going on across the company and everything we’ve accomplished as result of this great team effort,” adds the Apple CEO.

But he’s not done patting everyone on the back just yet. Cook also wants his team managers to join him for an employee communications meeting today at 9 AM Pacific time.

Apple will broadcast the meeting to Apple offices around the world so that everyone can hear what Tim Cook has to say.

For its fourth fiscal quarter this year, Apple posted quarterly revenue of $37.5 billion / €27.2 billion and quarterly net profit of $7.5 billion / €5.4 billion.

The company sold 33.8 million iPhones (compared to 26.9 million in the year-ago quarter), which the company said was a record for the month of September.

14.1 million iPads were also sold during the quarter (compared to 14 million in the year-ago quarter), and Apple shipped 4.6 million Macs (down a few points from the 4.9 million last year).
